BIG RED DOT
BIG RED DOT exists both as a collection of performances for video installation and an ongoing performance work for the internet.
The installation consists of my performances interacting with the floating dot entering into my physical space. The installation space grows louder and more claustrophobic as my attempts to avoid the dot in all of the videos becomes more difficult. The dot takes up space where I am trying to do normal household cleaning. Videos are meant to play in loops and completely surround the viewer. 2017
The ongoing internet performance began in 2018. This website is transformed into a host for strangers to move the dot around my room while they watch my interactions with it in a live stream. The work is still evolving from my initial concept of an abstract entity disrupting my physical space. I look forward to completing another round of the live internet broadcasts this summer and fall of 2019.
